For nearly 100 years, the doctors and nurses at Logansport Memorial Hospital have been focused on Building Better Health for the residents of North Central Indiana. This year we are excited to announce the latest in a history of investments and innovation for the healthcare of our community — Building for Generations.
What is Building for Generations?
It is an initiative focused on meeting the changing demands of our population. After completing a thorough needs analysis, Logansport Memorial Hospital has identified two pressing healthcare concerns facing our community – and we are taking steps to alleviate those concerns.
Cancer Care Center
Cass County’s population suffers from cancer at rates that are higher than the state and national averages. We need to be able to do more for these patients while keeping them closer to home. Our new regional Cancer Care Center will bring all cancer care services on-site to Logansport Memorial Hospital and offer expanded services, leading-edge technology and more convenient care for patients and their families…patients like Joyce…
Joyce Eshelmen has always paid very close attention to her health, including annual mammograms from the time she was 30, which may well have saved her life. Joyce is thankful everyday that her cancer was caught early and that Logansport Memorial Hospital was by her side every step of the way.
Family Birth Center
Logansport Memorial Hospital believes that families deserve the best possible birth experience. Parents choose a hospital for childbirth based on expectations of quality, privacy, and specialized care. Our Family Birth Center was last renovated in the 1980s. The time has come for Logansport Memorial Hospital to renovate the current birth unit with a new, patient-focused, state-of-the-art birth center. Our renovated unit will include upgraded technology and equipment; improved amenities, security and privacy; and more resources to support women throughout their pregnancy. Women like Michelle.
We’re excited to be leading the way to better health.
